映画・ミュージカルで有名な『マイフェアレディ』のサントラなのか、そもそも見たこともないので知りませんが。小粋なジャズといったところ。Shelly Manne(シェリー・マン)はビル・エヴァンスとのトリオで知ったたDsですが結構有名なDsです。その彼がリーダーとして作られた作品ですが、それぞれ有名なメンツで、ピアノのアンドレ・プレビンはその後クラシックの指揮者としても有名ですね。軽やかに繰り広げられる演奏は、全8曲。もっと聴きたいと思わせる好演奏。初心者にも手を出しやすい好盤です。
